About This Feature
This page gives your image a "thermal camera" look, where color stands in for temperature.
By mapping bright areas to hot colors (red, yellow) and dark areas to cool colors (blue, purple), it gives off a futuristic, sci-fi, mysterious vibe like footage from an infrared camera.
You can intuitively adjust the color palette, the contrast, and whether to invert the colors — no expertise needed.
Supported file formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, WebP, and HEIC.

What Is the Thermal Camera Effect?
Thermography is, properly, a technique that shows an object's temperature through different colors (an infrared camera).
This effect does not measure real temperature; instead it treats your image's brightness as if it were heat, mapping bright areas to hot colors (red, orange, yellow) and dark areas to cool colors (blue, purple). The result has the feel of an infrared camera, a night-vision scope, or a sci-fi movie monitor.
About the Settings
- Color Palette
Choose how the colors are mapped. "Thermal" is the classic thermal-camera ramp from blue to red to yellow to white, while "Rainbow" gives a more colorful, rainbow result.
- Contrast
The higher the value, the more the light-dark difference is emphasized and the sharper the color contrast. It works well on flat-looking images.
- Invert Colors
When checked, the cool and hot colors swap (bright areas become blue, dark areas become red). Toggle it to match the look you want.
Examples of Use
Giving a photo the look of a sci-fi, futuristic monitor screen
Creating an infrared-camera or night-vision effect
Adding striking color to a poster or thumbnail
Turning people or objects mysterious and dreamlike
